As a young man I have always been athletic. I played football, volleyball and basketball, my 3 favorite sports. When I was about 18 years old I was playing a friendly pick-up game and caught and elbow to my nose. I thought it was broken. Fortunately it wasn't. However, since that day I started to develop nasal congestion problems. At 21 I developed allergies, and it got worse, to say the least.
Over the years I used the over-the-counter nasal sprays. Most worked fine, however they gave me upset stomach and from time to time, headaches. I stopped taking them about 6 months ago, for I really couldn't deal with the side effects anymore. About 3 weeks ago, my allergies started to act up real bad. Of course, my nasal passage became inflamed and swollen shut.
I couldn't breathe normally and I got mad. So, I went into the bathroom and got the hydrogen peroxide and filled the cap halfway and snorted it into my nose. I had a burning sensation. However, after about a minute, my nasal congestion starting to clear up, and it seem to have loosen up mucus as well. Now, anytime I get nasal congestion I clear it with peroxide, I recommend a 1:1 peroxide and water.
NOTE: If you are thinking of trying this, please consult your doctor first. I have suffered no side effects or any other discomforts, however, each person is different and you want to be sure that you don't cause any problems for your body.
