Don't forget to also detox the mind. Many people detox the body to get rid of toxins, so that the body can function properly and alleviate getting sick, however, many people forget to do the same with their minds.

Here are some suggestions. This is not an exhaustive list. You can add and subtract as you please. Try for a week:

  • Avoid the news for a week or longer.

  • Instead of watching t.v. programs, spend time with your family outdoors. Read a book or learn a new skill, such as photography.

  • Cut down on your social media use. Call or visit friends and family.

  • Cut down on internet use, in general. If it is not important to be on the net, then avoid doing so. Reading a nice book helps here.

  • Avoid anything that is not 100% critical to do.

Try this for a week and let your mind purge itself of all the negative build up. Combined with healthy eating, exercise, your body and mind will become much more healthy and functional, and will increase your quality of life.
