Positive Impact V. S. Negative Impact

  • A most beautiful day looks like a bad storm

  • Start a friendly conversation be smug and quiet

  • A smile with words shrugs and no eye contact

  • Humming and singing non up-lifting verbiage

6. When a Care Giver listens or cordially touches a patient – They are saying, “I CARE”

  • Positive Body Language - needs not to be spoken out loud.

  • Both sides may understand emotions either positive or negative.

  • Caregiver may initiate an “I Care” statement, like – “How is your foot today?”

  • Most patients just love smiling face, a caring voice, a friendly touch and light music.

Belize Riverview Nursing Home crafted the above care principles because we believe in them as we apply them to our clients.

We believe in emphasizing talking, touching and a smiling.

A friendly continence will go a long way in making our residents stay at Riverview a great experience.

It includes beautiful gardens and usually a light breeze coming off of the very visible Belize River, all of which invokes a spirit of healing, peace and rest.
