Our nursing home facility consists of a single level building with 3 large bedrooms, 2 baths, a large living-dining and kitchen area.

 

What Your Loved One Will Experience:

 

A large veranda overlooks the Ol' Belize River with a peaceful grove of old growth trees to frame your view. There is an abundance of birds and even howler monkeys to accompany the horses that graze in nearby pastures.

 

We want your loved one to absorb nature. We want those, who are able, to interact with this beautiful tropical environment. â€‹

We have 3 bedrooms (2 beds each) or a 1 bed private room, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, living room, outside patio and a deck giving you a breathtaking view of the Ol' Belize River. You will be 10 to 15 minutes from the Western Regional Hospital.

Our Staff

 

Jane Lorenzo, our Belizean manager, has an excellent reputation when it comes to caring for the elderly and for those who need help. Her passion dictates a special sensitivity when it comes to recognizing discomfort. She is familiar with those who are bed ridden and need attention. She has worked in the assisted living industry in the US and Belize with people who demand special diets and care. 

 

Victrie Carr RN, American/Belizean, is a United States trained Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nurse. She grew up in Belize and is currently the nurse at the facility. Has years of experience in geriatric care.

 

John Carr, American/Belizean has lived in Belize for almost 40 years. He has served on the board of the Octavia Waight Center and also the Belmopan Helpage Chapter. He and his wife, Carolyn, and the Jaeger family also own Banana Bank Lodge.
