HOW TO GET TO BELIZE
By Plane
American Airline and Continental Airlines have daily flights to Belize Philip Goldson International Airport.

American flies through Miami and Continental through Houston (Continental also offers a weekly non-stop flight—every Saturday— from Newark’s Liberty Airport to Belize City).

US Air flies through Charlotte, NC, and Delta Airlines has direct flights from Atlanta. TACA Airlines also flies into Belize City.
Check with the individual air carrier or your travel agent for prices and the most convenient connection from your area.

GETTING TO PLACENCIA FROM BELIZE CITY

You can get to Maya Breeze Inn via - flying, driving or taking a bus.
THE BUS

If you are up for an adventure and mingling with Belizeans from all walks of life, the bus is an excellent option. We recommend that you catch the Express Bus where possible. The ride is approximately 3 to 4 hours.
DRIVING

The Government of Belize completed the paving of the Placencia Peninsula road in 2009, therefore it takes 2 1/2 hours to drive from Belize (if you drive without any stops).
If you are planning to make a tour of the country, spending a few days in the Maya Mountains and a few days at the beach, you might want to rent a car.
However, if you are just traveling to Maya Breeze Inn, we suggest that you fly to Placencia. The scenery driving down the Hummingbird Highway is quite breathtaking.
You should note that if you are renting a car in Belize, you must return your vehicle to where you picked it up. Since the roads are not as great as the USA and Belizemake no automobiles, car rentals are also very expensive in Belize - from $75 US to $85 US per day.
FLYING

Flying from Belize Philip Goldson International Airport to Placencia (a45 minute flight) is the method we most recommend. There are frequent flights to Placencia from Belize City throughout the day on Tropic Air and Maya Island Air, Belize's two local airlines. We offer our guests complimentary pick-up and return service to the Placencia Airport. We are also happy to arrange your local flights at no extra cost.
FYI

The main points of interest on the Placencia Peninsula are so close in proximity that you'll be able to reach most places by foot or taxi cab. Just let us know and we will make arrangements.
